Taracoonee Directors

Currently the directors consist of 2 representatives from each of the 5 involved families:

John (Jack) Vicars) - Tom Vicars (Chairperson) and Megan White

Margaret (Tim) Vicars - Anna Joyce and Chris Windeyer

Jessie Vicars - Will Lehane and Lucy Lehane

Kathleen Vicars - Bill Laurie and Hugh Laurie 

WORKING GROUPS

 The following 3 Working Groups (comprising board members and other interested family members) currently manage Taracoonee’s affairs.

OPERATIONS GROUP

• Group Co-ordinator & website management - Megan White  megan@byers-white.com

• Bookings & User Feedback - Megan White

• Liaison with users, the caretakers, neighbours, river transport providers etc - Sarah Laurie

• Emergency arrangements (eg illness, accidents, bushfire threats) - Lucy Lehane

MAINTENANCE GROUP

• Group Co-ordinator - Anna Joyce anna66joyce@gmail.com (day-to-day maintenance issues)  

• Tom Windeyer twindeyer@woolworths.com.au (working bee issues)

Key Functions

• Prepare and report on Annual Maintenance Plan, plan Capital Works, organise Working Bees, pest inspections and tree work, liaise with river tradespeople and fire authorities

MONEY MATTERS GROUP

For guiding us with steady brow.
The fourth, fifth, and sixth generation we're here,
In the bootsteps of Robert and Violet, our forebears so dear.

Patience has been your guiding star,
Through every challenge, thus far.
Your tenacity for Taracoonee’s fate
Has brought us a future we can now await.

With care and craft, you’ve shaped this place,
Improving it with a steady grace.
Usability and upkeep, you’ve made it shine,
Taracoonee stands as testament to your design.

You’ve navigated neighbours, councils, too,
A saint in disguise, we all know it’s true.
In every season, time and trend,
Taracoonee’s a haven you’ve helped to mend.

Countless hours given, discussions shared,
Ablutions, and pool work, can costs be pared
From restaurant approvals to solar at night,
Sea walls, filming, and roof fixing in sight.

Family engagement, the heart of your work,
You’ve been the true glue, not a casual perk.
With guidance true patience and effort so grand,
Listening to all, before taking a stand.

So here’s our thanks, both deep and true,
For all you’ve done and all you do.
