Working Bees

We hold 2 Working Bees per year: in April/May & August

Working Bees are a great opportunity to help improve and maintain Taracoonee, while catching up with family and friends at the same time.

A typical Working Bee day goes something like this:

• 8.30 am - Depart from Kangaroo Point ferry wharf
• 9.00 am - Morning tea and assigning/choosing tasks
• 9.30 am - 1.00 pm - Work (note that there is always something for everyone who would like to help, regardless of age, fitness or skill level, and the kids can just play)
• Approx 1.00 - 1.30 pm - Stop work and clean up
• 1.30 onwards - A late BYO BBQ lunch and final pack up
• Approx 3.00 - 3.30 pm - Ferry departs Taracoonee for Kangaroo Point

Things to Bring: old clothes, water, sunscreen, food to share at morning tea and your own food and drinks for lunch.

Note: There is no charge to attend a Working Bee

Tom Windeyer will generally send an email just before the Working Bee, with a list of things to bring (if you have them). Depending on the tasks for the day, these might include gardening tools, rakes, paint brushes and rollers or even a chainsaw.
